Literature Text

When the demons are howling
Your pants you'll be fouling.
No escape, nowhere to go.
Hungry creatures running to and fro.
Your only protection, a warded section.
A sniff of dust, and your ass they'll bust.
Your lifethread thin, no way to win.
Fear, your only company
No sign of an epiphany

From the woods, a man arose
Demons around, but for a moment froze
A unique sight, the answer to your plight?
You beckon him to your circ'
But all you get is a smirk
And without wasting another sec
He starts his attack
The demons recover
Something unpleasant they discover
The man is covered in wards
The protagonist of the bards
Wards placed with wit
Deflect every hit

He found a way to fight and won
Now others his wards don
With his wards resistance arrives
And the reign of demons no more thrives
I recently read "The Warded Man" by Peter V. Brett and that book really made an impact on me. I've been thinking of writing a review on it and I probably will. The setting is great though and the first thing that came to mind was a poem. I don't think this poem'll mean much to people who haven't read The Warded Man, but I wager people who have will like it!!
